Handling our Puppies

At Umina Beach Groodles, we prioritise the well-being and development of our puppies right from the start. From the moment they're born, our puppies receive daily handling and care. We make sure they're introduced to a diverse range of experiences, including different environments, various noises (even typical household sounds), grooming sessions, and socialisation opportunities. This early exposure helps them grow into well-adjusted and confident companions.

Toilet Training

We introduce our puppies to toilet training as early as 4 weeks. We aim to set up our puppies and families with the foundations to build upon and help make an easier transition for when they go off to their new homes.
*Puppies are highly situational so it is important to remember to help them find their new potty area in your home.

Grooming Demonstration

When it comes to puppy pick up day, we are more than happy to go through all grooming essentials, including: technique and having the correct grooming equipment.
*As with any low shedding dogs, there's a need for frequent grooming. If you can maintain your dogs coat between grooms you will save your doggo from having to be shaved due to matting.

WHAT YOUR PUPPY COMES WITH

Vet check

Your puppy comes fully vet checked. Our wonderful and very experienced vet examines your puppy’s structure, bones, eyes, heart, teeth, ears and skin as part of their thorough check.

VACCINATION

Your puppy will receive its first vaccination at 6 weeks of age. The next vaccination is required at 10 weeks of age, followed by a third vaccination at 14 weeks. It is very important that you do not take your puppy into public places until the 14 week booster shot has been administered. Your puppy is at risk of diseases and not fully covered until the booster shot is given. It is under strict advice that you keep your puppy in your backyard and away from other dogs whose vaccination history you don’t know during this period.

microchip

Your puppy will come microchipped at 6 weeks. Transfer of ownership will take place upon the pick up of your puppy. As the breeder we will lodge our copy of transfer papers with our local council. As the new family you have 14 days to lodge your copy to your local council also. Registration in NSW, for your dog, is for their lifetime and is to be finalised by the time your dog is 6 months of age.

worming

Your puppy will come wormed with Drontal at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks of age. Worming your puppy is essential to their wellbeing. It is important to continue worming treatment once the pup has left us. Nexgard Spectra, is a monthly treatment, it can be safely used on pups from 8 weeks of age and are over 2kg.

INSURANCE

You will initially receive 30 days free with Knose Insurance and if you continue on the policy, you will receive another 30 days free.

They will come with a 2 year health guarantee for the testable disease for the relevant breeds.
Both parents are DNA health tested and Hip & Elbow scored.
Lifetime breeders support, get in touch any time.
They come with a return policy or a help find a home policy should you circumstances change at any time for the lifetime of the dog.
We do a go home bag with an assortment of things that will help with getting started, including breed specific information.
